Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)

Maracana Stadium is a football stadium located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This stadium is the largest stadium in South America and Brazil. It has a capacity of 95,000 seats. Used for the FIFA World Cup final World Cup 1950 and FIFA 2014. This stadium is the home club Flamengo and Fluminense FC CR.
Historically, because everyone in Brazil likes football (soccer), then the Brazilian parliament to make the stadium with a capacity of 125,000 seats with locations in Rio de Janeiro. Unfortunately, the place and even then seems to still be expanded. The stadium is purposely built for the sake of World Cup 1950, to accommodate 200,000 fans overwhelmed the two teams that competed at the 1950 World Cup there. This historic stadium to spend U.S. $ 40 million for renovation costs.
